Rangers SS Corey Seager exists with an arm injury

Friday July 25th, 2023 on the match-up against Texas Rangers vs. Los Angeles Dodgers, fans witness shortstop Corey Seager being called out on right fielder Mookie Betts.

After the out call was overturned by the review, Josh Smith stepped in to pinch run for Corey, who continued to play shortstop to finish the game.

According to Rangers manager Bruce Bochy, Seager seemed to had injured his right arm while holding onto the second base bag on the match. Keeping his hand down at his side he came off the field in pain and dashed into the Rangers’ tunnel to get examined.

X-ray results and examinations after Seager’s injury were negative as per the 68 year old Rangers manager.

“Obviously you hate to see that so hopefully he comes in feeling better tomorrow.”

While running bases this is the second time Seager had significantly hurt himself. He appeared to hurt himself the first time in this season on the match against Kansas while running out an opposite-field double into the left-field corner before pulling up after a few steps and hesitantly making his way to second base.

Texas Rangers faced a 10-5 defeat againts Los Angeles Dodgers the same match at Globe Life Field. Since almost two months ago, left-hander Andrew Heaney has had trouble stringing together successful starts, and that didn’t change against the Dodgers on Friday.

Looking back at the 2020 World Series, Corey Seager hit some huge home runs in his seven seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, which they won at Globe Life Field during the COVID-19 pandemic.
